12. Lab & Quality

Available when the Lab module is enabled for your organisation.

The Lab group (sidebar: Lab ▸) is the workspace for quality teams. It manages samples and the quality measurements that run through the whole system.

Samples​

Register samples linked to lots or arrivals. A sample represents physical coffee pulled for testing — green intake checks, roast QC, cupping, and so on.

Parameters and targets​

Quality is captured as parameters (measurements) compared against targets (acceptable ranges) defined per zone:

  • Moisture and density for green intake
  • Cupping scores for sensory evaluation
  • Roast/grind/pack specifications as configured

How lab data flows through Roasthubs​

  • Parameters recorded on a sample attach to the related lot.
  • Targets are configured per zone (Parameters / Targets tabs on zone pages).
  • Quality data appears on the lot's Parameters tab and in exported lot PDFs.
