3. Roastery Control (Plant view)

Roastery control is your mission control — a visual map of the roastery with live data streaming from the PLC (the controller running your physical equipment). It's the default page after you sign in.

  • Nodes represent equipment — silos, roasters, scales, coolers, valves, buttons, and cells.
  • Lines (edges) show the direction material can flow between nodes.
  • Colours, labels, and values reflect live PLC readings: weights, status, and alarms.
  • Clicking a node opens its quickview with details, controls, and configuration.

Reading live data

The plant view is real-time. Values update automatically as your equipment reports new readings — no need to refresh.

Interacting with the plant

ActionHow
Pan & zoomDrag the background; use the on-screen zoom controls
Open asset detailsClick any plant node
Control equipmentUse on-screen buttons (only if your role allows)
See active alarmsAlarms surface directly on the map and in the alarm list
Focus a zoneUse zone filters to focus on green / roast / grind / pack areas

The asset quickview & detail page

Clicking a node opens its quickview. For a full-screen view with all configuration and history, open the plant asset page for that node.

Cell quickview — common tasks

From a cell node you can typically:

  • See the current recipe and inventory weight
  • View the lots inside the cell
  • Block input or output (with a reason) for maintenance
  • Dose a manual amount
  • Assign or change the recipe for an empty cell

Warning. Blocking a cell, dosing manually, or pressing on-screen control buttons drives real equipment. Always follow your site's safety procedures and only operate equipment you are authorised and trained to use.

Live dosing

When the plant is actively dosing a blend, Roasthubs can show live dosing information so operators can watch component weights land in real time.

Permissions

  • Viewing the plant map is available to signed-in users.
  • Operating equipment (manual controls, blocking, dosing) requires the appropriate PLC management permission. If buttons are greyed out or missing, your role doesn't include control rights.
