14. Settings & Administration
This section covers your personal account, plus the administration tools that control how Roasthubs behaves for your whole organisation. Most administration features require the manage settings permission.
Your account
Open Settings from the sidebar footer.
- Update your name and email.
- Change your language — Roasthubs is available in multiple languages (English, German, Dutch, French).
- View your organisation's API key and base URL for integrations (visible to administrators).
- Change your password via the reset flow if needed.
Dates and times are shown in your organisation's timezone, automatically adjusting for daylight saving.
Users, roles & permissions
Administrators only. Roasthubs controls access through roles made up of permissions. A user's role determines which menus and actions they see.

If a colleague can't see something they need, an administrator adjusts their role.
Organisation configuration
Administrators configure organisation-wide behaviour: zones (and whether lots/recipes are enabled per zone), production board columns, feature flags (procurement, sales, lab, containers, roast compare), display preferences, timezone, and more.
System tools
The System group (sidebar: System ▸, administrators only) contains operational and integration tools:

System configuration (PLC)
The System configuration item gives advanced access to PLC / OPC-UA tags — the live data points exposed by your equipment. This is an advanced area used during setup and troubleshooting.
Warning. System tools and PLC configuration can change how the live plant behaves. Use them only if you know what you're doing and follow your site's change procedures.
Integrations & API
Roasthubs exposes an API so other systems (ERP, e-commerce, BI) can read and write data. Your organisation has an API key visible to administrators on the Settings page. See the developer documentation for technical details.
