Grinding
The Grind page manages ground coffee. Open it from the sidebar (Grind). It requires the view ground lots permission and the grind zone to be enabled.
Tabs
The Grind page mirrors the structure of the roast zone:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Lots | Individual ground lots with weights |
| Runs | Grouped grinding production runs |
| Recipes | Grind recipe definitions |
| Parameters / Targets | Grind quality specifications |
| Groups | Recipe organisation |
Grind lots
A grind lot is one tracked batch of ground coffee, produced by running a grind recipe that consumes roasted lots. Like all lots, each carries an ID tag, weight, parameters, and full genealogy back to the green coffee it came from.
Grind recipes
A grind recipe takes roasted coffee (Zone 2) as input and produces ground coffee (Zone 3). Manage these on the Recipes tab — see Recipes & Coffees.
Not grinding in-house? Organisations that don't grind can disable this zone entirely, in which case the Grind page won't appear in the sidebar.
